Urban Roots

‘Urban roots’ addresses food security issues in the Oakland Downtown community, focusing on farmers and overall community. The design incorporates considerations for the local climate, specifying the types and sizes of plants suitable for the area. This project provides affordable housing for these users to experience farming needs, a healthier lifestyle, and supports community needs for lack of food security.
